Video of University of Oklahoma star Joe Mixon brutally punching a female student in the face has been released to the public.
Mixon can be seen punching Amelia Molitor during a 2014 dispute they had in a restaurant near campus.
Molitor shoves Mixon who then pushes back and spits on her and then brutally punches her.
She appears to be momentarily knocked out cold.
Mixon was later charged with misdemeanor and entered a plea.
He recievdd 1 year probation, community service and behavioral counseling.
Back in 2014, police only allowed members of the media to see the video.
Earlier this month the Supreme Court in Oklahoma ruled it had to be released and Mixon’s attorneys got ahead of it, and decided to release it.
The team suspended him for the 2014 season, but he played in 2015 and also this year. He’s the team’s star running back, and is set to start in the Sugar Bowl.
The University just released a statement saying “Mr. Mixon has apologized for his actions and the university hopes that it is an indication that he has learned from his mistakes.”
